STILL HOUSE

April 23, 2014

Last week I paid a visit to my favorite store, Still House, located in the East Village (you may recall this shop from when I shot it for Cereal Magazine); I can’t help but stop in every time I’m in the neighborhood. Still House is a beautifully curated shop dedicated to showcasing home goods, jewelry, ceramics and other accessories. Urte Tylaite, the store’s founder, hand-selects talented artists and designers from New York City, Scandinavia, Europe and Japan. She even created her own line of minimal, geometric jewelry, which is made in NYC and sold in the store.

Still House is the perfect blend of a shop and a gallery; it is inspiring to gaze at shelf after shelf of unique pieces and to try on the beautiful jewelry. Since Still House is one of my favorite stores, I thought it would be fun to list a few links to some items that I love from their online shop for gift or for personal purchase ideas:

PACHUTE

April 1, 2014

Pachute is beautifully curated boutique located on Manhattan’s Upper East Side. The space is dedicated to showcasing women’s clothing, footwear, accessories and jewelry. Pachute sources their unique goods from local and U.S. designers as well as makers from Japan and Europe. I could get (and have gotten) lost in here for hours admiring the creative displays and trying on just about everything in the store.
