It's the time of year where we still experience dramatic summer light, and where the summer stickiness has subsided, allowing us to wear something other than sandals and tanks. As summer is my favorite season, I am slowly (slowly) transitioning into fall by wearing this Lemaire-Uniqlo dress and Maison Margiela peep-toe ankle boots. This bag (black version, on sale) by Zac Posen is a sturdy yet compact option to hold essentials like a small camera, iPhone 7 plus, and a couple bright pink fall lipsticks.

11 Howard is one of those hotels that makes me wish I didn't live in NYC, so that I could have a valid excuse to stay there all the time. With Anda Andrei's and Space Copenhagen's designs, one feels like they have been transported straight to Copenhagen's Latin Quarter. The interior is soothingly minimal in subdued colors and design. 11 Howard's library is a cozy and chic place to work, read or catch up with a friend. Although I'll be honest, I'm partial to any space housing works by Hiroshi Sugimoto.
You don't have to go far from the hotel to access top notch design stores; Studio Oliver Gustav is located just next door to the hotel (with access via the hotel's lobby) and you can easily lose yourself for a few hours in BDDW just across the street.
Pop into Le Coucou, located on the property, for a meal or to linger over coffee with a friend. It's worth a relaxing meal to admire the unique decor and abundance of natural light.
